Maple Ginger Beet Recipes

Fed Up Food's Maple Ginger Beet is great as a topping for a salad, on a sandwich, or as a replacement in any recipe that calls for a pickled beet.

This unique product showcases the sweet side of a golden beet, with a zip of ginger and sweet kiss of maple syrup.

 

Bacon Lettuce Beet Sandwich (B.L.B.) 

 

Ingredients:
2-3 slices of crispy Bacon
2 leaves of Lettuce or a handful of microgreens
3-4 slices of Maple Ginger Beet (dependent on size)
1 Tbsp. Mayonnaise
2 slices of bread (slightly toasted)
2 slices of sharp cheddar cheese

Directions:

  1. Spread Mayonnaise on 1 side of each slice of bread.
  2. put the rest of the ingredients between the two slices of bread.
  3. Enjoy!

***If vegetarian, this sandwich is amazing with hummus instead of bacon!
****if vegan, remove cheese, mayo, and bacon add hummus, Dijon mustard, and more veggies!

 

Sunny Side Salad

 This salad is a great way to use the liquid from the jar to make an exquisite salad dressing.

Ingredients:
Salad:
2 c. Chopped Lettuce/Greens
1/2 medium Carrot (shredded)
1 Tbsp. Yellow onion (Diced)
1/8 C. Fed Up Foods Maple Ginger Beet (diced)
1 Tbsp. Feta Cheese
top with Cashew Pieces (optional)
Dressing:
1 TBsp. Maple Ginger Beet Brine (liquid from jar)
2 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
(Salt & Pepper to taste)
 

Directions:

  1. Whisk dressing ingredients together.
  2. Toss salad ingredients together in a bowl.
  3. Pour desired amount of dressing over Salad.
  4. Enjoy!

Serving size: one medium entrée salad
